Special Weather Outlook for the 2026 State of the Nation Address (SONA)

The Southwest Monsoon or "Habagat" will be the dominant weather system affecting the country during the State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

On Monday (27 July), the Southwest Monsoon will bring mostly cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila, Zambales, Bataan, Pangasinan, Pampanga, Bulacan, Cavite, Batangas, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan. Meanwhile, the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, mainly due to localized thunderstorms.

Light to moderate southwesterly to southerly winds will prevail over Luzon, while light to moderate southeasterly to southerly winds will affect Visayas and Mindanao.
