Handa Pilipinas Caravan 2.0 - First Leg in NCR Done!
DOST-PAGASA, in partnership with DOST-National Capital Region, participated in the final stop of the first leg of Handa Pilipinas 2.0 Caravan in NCR, held in City of Malabon University, Malabon City on May 25-26, 2026.
Engr. Lorenzo A. Moron, Chief of the NCR-PAGASA Regional Services Division, along with Engr. Christopher F. Perez, Ms. Mary May Victoria M. Calimoso, and Mr. Jofren R. Habaluyas, led the discussions with local officials and disaster managers. They introduced important concepts on hydro-meteorological hazards, weather, thunderstorms, rainfall warnings, and tropical cyclones that can strengthen the community’s preparedness and response.
Technology exhibits such as the Flood Simulator/AR Terrain, PANaHON interactive platform, and iHeatMAP through the Interactive Display Information System (IDIS) were also showcased in the caravan.
