MORE KIDS LEARNED ABOUT THE WEATHER
Students from Pasig City learned about weather and its hazards through experiential learning during the MAAGAP Caravan for Learners held at Tanghalang Rizal, Rizal High School, Pasig City on July 22, 2026, through the partnership of DepEd Pasig City and DOST-PAGASA.
Weather experts introduced elementary and high school students to the fundamentals of cloud formation, thunderstorms, tropical cyclones, and flooding. Through engaging discussions, hands-on activities, and interactive experiments, participants gained a better understanding of weather and its impacts on people’s lives.
One of the highlights of the caravan were the interactive exhibits, including the Flood Simulator: Virtual Reality Terrain where students experienced and explored hazards firsthand. Interactive displays showcasing DOST-PAGASA’s weather products, services, and mobile applications were also presented, helping learners discover how weather information supports disaster preparedness and everyday decision-making.
