DOST-PAGASA joins the Regional Science, Technology, and Innovation Week (RSTW) in MIMAROPA

DOST-PAGASA participated during the Regional Science, Technology, and Innovation Week (RSTW) in MIMAROPA, held at Occidental Mindoro State College, Occidental Mindoro, from May 28–30, 2025, with the theme “Siyensya, Teknolohiya, at Inobasyon: Kabalikat sa Matatag, Maginhawa, at Panatag na Kinabukasan.”

This year’s celebration carries the tagline “Changing Lives through Science” and centers on the sub-theme “Building Smart and Sustainable Communities.” The event aims to promote awareness and appreciation of science, technology, and innovation as vital tools for regional and national development.

The RSTW sa MIMAROPA featured science exhibits from various DOST agencies, government institutions, and partner organizations. It also highlighted the latest advancements in science, technology, and innovation, as well as smart Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the region.

During the three-day event, DOST-PAGASA showcased its Automated Weather Stations (AWS), Weather Balloon and Radiosonde for upper-air observation, and its Interactive Display Information System (IDIS) for participants, guests, and students. These latest technologies for monitoring weather conditions support informed decision-making and contribute to the development of sustainable communities.
